Environment
Bray is the longest established seaside town in Ireland witha safe beach of sand and shingle over 1 mile long, fronted by a spacious esplanade.
The scene is dominated by Bray Head, which rises steeply above the sea, affording sea and mountain views.
The River Dargle runs through Bray from the Wicklow Mountains to the sea.
As Bray is on the coast it makes a lovely seaside resort as well as being a busy town in itself.
Bray has a high residential density and with the new Bray Town Centre in development it is set to grow even further with additional apartments, shops and restaurants as well as a new hotel to add to the many already here.
The environment of Bray or Ennikserry on a nice sunny day cannot be beaten.
You can see from some of the photos, that if the weather is good, the seafront promande of Bray is the perfect scene for an outdoor drink in one of the many beer gardens along the stretch or even a picnic on the green.
You also have the long beach which many people utilize for a swim or some surfing.
Enniskerry is across the N11, inland from Bray and rich in scenery and woodland.
Ennikserry too on a summer’s day is a sight to behold. A beautiful and colourful village surrounded by scenery and nature.
Both Bray and Enniskerry are blessed with nature and scenic walks. The trek up Bray Head or a hike around the famous Wicklow Way starting in Enniskerry, through Glencree, are always popular.
Enniskerry also has the National Environmental Education Centre in Knocksink Wood Nature Reserve, for those interested in it’s eco life.
